Services may include, but are not limited to, food commodities, emergency food, energy assistance, clothing and family development programs.

Food Pantry (Eligibility up to 125% of Federal Poverty Level):
Households may utilize the food pantry once every 60 days. Food boxes typically provide 2-4 days worth of food. Garden seeds may also be available in the springtime (Limited availability). The food pantry is available at all locations between 8:30 A.M and 4:30 P.M.
USDA Commodities Distribution (Eligibility up to 133% of Federal Poverty Level):
Commodities are available once per month at multiple distribution sites in the Treasure Valley. For specific dates and times please call 377-0700. Available at all El-Ada locations

Information, Referral and Service Coordination:
Phone or walk-in information available about low-income services in the Treasure Valley. Written referrals, vouchers and arranged appointments for basic and emergency needs. Assistance completing applications for services. Available at all El-Ada locations.
Emergency Water Utility Assistance (Eligibility up to 150% of Federal Poverty Level):
Assistance available once per year for United Water or Meridian Water customers who are facing shut-off. Call 345-2820 for more information.
Supportive Services for Veterans Families (SSVF) (Eligibility up to 50% of HUD Area Median Income)
Case Management and supportive services to help Veterans facing loss of housing or experiencing homelessness obtain or maintain permanent housing and achieve household stability goals.

GED Assistance (Eligibility up to 125% of Federal Poverty Level):
Payment for GED preparation and testing through the College of Western Idaho. Please follow the link for further information http://www.cwidaho.cc/adult-basic-education/ . Available at the Boise Resource Center, Mountain Home, and Homedale offices.
Educational Resource Assistance (Eligibility up to 125% of Federal Poverty Level):
Co-Payment assistance up to $65.00 for middle and high school student program, class fee, and supplies. Vouchers also available to adults for parenting classes and employment related certifications. Available at the Boise Community Resource Center, Mountain Home, and Homedale locations during July and August each year.
Energy Assistance Program (Eligibility up to 150% of Federal Poverty Level):
Assistance for low income households with winter heating costs and energy efficiency. Available during November through April by appointment only. To schedule an appointment please call (208) 322-1242.
Telephone Assistance (Eligibility up to 133% of Federal Poverty Level):
Application processing for reduced basic telephone services and rates. Eligibility is limited to 133% of poverty guidelines. Available at the Garden City office.
Weatherization Assistance Program (Request current income guidelines when calling):
The Weatherization Assistance Program assists income-eligible families and individuals by reducing their heating/cooling costs and improving the safety of their homes by providing energy efficiency measures. Please call (208) 377-0700.

HIV Testing, Counseling and Education (Eligibility based on risk factors, not income):
Free OraQuick Advance rapid testing and results for HIV with counseling on site at various outreach van locations. Individual HIV prevention and risk reduction education. (208) 345-8994.
Outreach Van:
Outreach to persons experiencing homelessness. Screening for HUD, VA and other community housing programs.
Seasonal clothing and supplies distribution (as available).
