Ashley Manor was created to make a difference in the lives of those suffering with memory loss and their families. The Founders started Ashley Manor because they wanted a residential care facility in which they could place their loved ones that dealt with dementia. They were not pleased with the type of care available to their Mom, Dad and Grandfather. However, after an intensive study and collaboration with individuals that had extensive knowledge and experience of Alzheimer’s and other dementias, a dream to create facilities where they could place their loved ones was realized. That place was and is Ashley Manor Care Centers, and those relatives placed, like all other residents, were given the best of care for the rest of their lives.

Services Provided: Legacy Corps is a national volunteer-powered caregiver support program that provides assistance to military families caring for a loved one.  Legacy Corps volunteers provide weekly companionship respite to give the caregiver a break from their responsibilities, and time to take care of themselves.   Volunteers are NOT able to assist with medications, personal care or heavy lifting.  Companionship respite includes assistance with accessing community resources, friendly visiting, transportation, light meal preparation, and just being a reliable, compassionate friend.  Highly trained and vetted volunteers commit to a year of service, receive monthly stipends and are eligible to earn an education award at term completion.
