To schedule a ride, call (208) 625-5030 Monday through Friday. Transportation Services needs at least notice 24 hours prior to your scheduled ride time. Rides are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis so it is recommended you schedule a ride as far in advance as possible. When you call, a dispatcher will ask for your address, appointment information and if you need any other special arrangements, such as wheelchair accommodations.

Where2 drivers must pass a national criminal background check and drug testing. In addition they have become CPR/First Aid certified, maintain a clean driving record and have taken defensive driving courses. The screening is done on a yearly basis.

ACCESS is a transportation service designed to complement ValleyRide's regular bus system. The service is available to people who are unable to utilize the bus system because of a disability. Eligibility may be limited on a conditional basis, and each trip can be reviewed. Access operates the same hours as the bus system. Service is by reservation only. Trips may be booked up to 14 days in advance, but no later than 4 p.m., for service the next operating day. Once approved, ACCESS fares are $2 per one-way trip for each passenger and for each guest. A personal care attendant may ride free.

The Connection offers a variety of services; trips, in-home care, Alzheimer's and disabled adult day program ( Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday from 11 am to 3 pm), adventure, exercise, educational programs, creative classes, forums, old fashioned ice cream parlor, gift shop, and an opportunity for all people to "Age in Place" in our community.

Full service Community Senior Center. They offer the following services for seniors: transportation, chore services, respite relief, senior advocacy, meals, help with insurance, and fitness classes. Bi-monthly Ear clinic, transportation, activities and travel.

Launched in June 2011, SPOT is short for Selkirks-Pend Oreille Transit, a nonprofit collaborative venture between the cities of Dover, Sandpoint, Ponderay and Kootenai that provides FREE public bus service. NEW in Winter 2012! Two lines a GREEN line for Dover-Ponderay, and a BLUE line for Sandpoint-Ponderay with a Schweitzer connection. Main line operating hours are seven days a week from 6:24 a.m.-6:27 p.m., with extended hours on select routes Thursday-Sunday. Busses stop only at bus stops marked by Blue or Green Bus signs and can carry 1 wheelchair, and 2 bicycles on the front bike racks.

Benewah Area Transit (BAT) offers curb to curb, demand response transportation service in the St. Maries area. BAT provides services to the general public for shopping, medical appointments, socialization and recreational activities within 7 miles of the of St. Maries city limits. BAT also provides Medicaid approved transportation to St. Maries, Coeur d’ Alene, Post Falls, and Hayden, ID from outlying areas such as Fernwood, Santa, Emida and Plummer, Idaho. Requests to and from other areas may be considered. Hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday (except holidays). Medicaid transportation must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance by calling Medicaid’s Brokerage Company (VEYO) at1-877-503-1261.

A commuter service provided by Ada County Highway District Rideshare. Reservations need to be made at least 24 hours in advance. See website: www.rideshareonline.com for further information.

Access provides curb-to-curb and lift-equipped van service for disabled individuals within the Boise area who are unable to ride Valley Ride fixed route. Pre-approval for eligibility is required. An application must be submitted and be pre-approved. Reservations required costs $2.00 each way.
