WCA provides services to women, men and their children healing from domestic abuse and sexual assault. Contact for details about specific services. Services include:

Emergency and Transitional Shelter

For women and children. Services include:

Case Management

Case Managers work one-on-one with clients to identify their strengths and barriers in order to develop a plan to achieve their goals. Case Managers also teach  classes, help clients learn to budget, write resumes, fix nutritious meals on a budget and be assertive in asking for help.

Financial Empowerment

Classes for adults, teens, and youth, with additional coaching available after the class.

Therapy and Support

Master’s level therapists and interns provide therapy services to adult and child victims of emotional and physical abuse, rape and sexual assault and to survivors with co-occurring disorders (substance use and mental health disorders). Also offers support groups for sexual assault and domestic violence.

Safety Planning Workshops

Clients can complete a personalized safety plan with trained WCA personnel.

Court Advocacy Services

The WCA provides assistance to petitioners seeking protection orders in Ada County. Trained advocates help with filling out petitions, provide an educational orientation, and offer support during the court process. Additional services include court accompaniment to civil or criminal proceedings and legal referrals.

Rape Crisis Advocacy

Advocates are trained to provide support and guidance in regards to:

• Confidential crisis intervention and support for victims of sexual assault
• Information and education in regards to your options for medical care and reporting
• Education and advocacy during the legal process of reporting the crime
• Safety Planning
• Encouragement and support while recovering from sexual assault
• Referrals for counseling, court advocacy and other services
• Information and support for family and friends

An individual must work through a case managing agency to access United Way assistance. Case managing agencies include: Health and Welfare, Salvation Army, Catholic Charities, Community Action Partnerships, etc.

IDA stands for Individual Development Accounts. IDAs are matched savings accounts that can only be used to save for a certain asset goal. To get more information ask to speak to Melissa Krucker.

Critical services are addressed everyday of the year by United Way that include meals for the hungry, services for the seniors, after school programs for disadvantaged kids, medical care, prescriptions and more.

Families in southeastern Idaho.

The Center offers a comprehensive online Resource Directory for Southeast Idaho, a Resource Library, Asset Shop, comprehensive assessment and referral, The Nurturing Program for Families, The Baby Steps Program, The Birth to Three Playgroups, and Parent Support. This program is administered by the Bannock Youth Foundation, a private, non-profit organization that has been providing a variety of intervention, treatment, and support services to youth and families in Bannock County since 1978.

The Nurturing Parenting Program is an 12-15 week event designed for families with children between the ages of 0 and 18. Specific areas targeted include: Support for parents in their efforts to nurture adolescents.
Providing parents with effective discipline strategies appropriate for the child's age. Support and skill building for youth dealing with the stress of peer pressure. Increased respect for parents by their children.

This program is administered by the Bannock Youth Foundation, a private, non-profit organization that has been providing a variety of intervention, treatment, and support services to youth and families in Bannock County since 1978.

Centro de Comunidad y Justicia (Center for Community and Justice) is a non-profit focused on local Idaho communities with high concentrations of low-income Latino and immigrant families in need of health, education, and affordable family-based immigration services.

Federal law requires each of the three nationwide consumer credit reporting companies, Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion, provide consumers a free credit report every 12 months if interested. Legal representation for the purpose of communicating with debt collectors. Collection calls and letters go to the main office. If tax debt or student loans are an issue, will work with government agencies to achieve zero payment programs or uncollectible status. No eligible person is turned away.

Provides 24/7 hotline with housing counselors to help individuals avoid foreclosure and stay current on mortgage payments. Can act as a liaison with your lender, provide information, offer professional guidance, identify options, and connect you to additional resources.
