The Nurturing Parenting Program is an 12-15 week event designed for families with children between the ages of 0 and 18. Specific areas targeted include: Support for parents in their efforts to nurture adolescents.
Providing parents with effective discipline strategies appropriate for the child's age. Support and skill building for youth dealing with the stress of peer pressure. Increased respect for parents by their children.
Classes are available in the evenings from 5:30pm to 8pm. To sign up for the Nurturing Program, call Heather Kemp at (208) 234-1122.
This program is administered by the Bannock Youth Foundation, a private, non-profit organization that has been providing a variety of intervention, treatment, and support services to youth and families in Bannock County since 1978.

Individuals and households that would be homeless but for this assistance. Both of the following must apply:
-1. There are no other appropriate housing options are you, or will you be living in an emergency shelter or in your car without this assistance? ~ AND ~
-2. There are no financial resources and support networks needed to obtain immediate housing or remain in existing housing.
Eligible individuals and households need to reside within Ada County, qualify as homeless or at risk of homelessness, meet specific risk factors established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and meet the following income guidelines for a household:
1 Person $21,900.00
2 Persons $25,000.00
3 Persons $28,150.00
4 Persons $31,250.00
5 Persons $33,750.00
6 Persons $36,250.00
7 Persons $38,750.00
8 Persons $41,250.00
This program cannot assist with payment for mortgage costs or other fees associated with retaining homeowners housing.
