Biosketch:

Dr. Norlin practiced general pediatrics in Salt Lake City for 10 years before joining the University faculty in 1990 and he served as Chief of the Division of General Pediatrics from 1993-2010. He was the generalist for the pediatric cardiac transplant program at Primary Children’s Hospital from 1991-2011. Dr. Norlin directed the Medical Home Portal from 2001 to 2021 and served as co-director, in collaboration with the Utah Department of Health, of five medical home/integrated services projects funded by the U.S. Maternal and Child Health Bureau. Dr. Norlin directed the Utah Pediatric Partnership to Improve Healthcare Quality (UPIQ) from 2005-2016. He was medical director and principal investigator (PI) of the Children’s Healthcare Improvement Collaboration, a project funded by a CHIPRA Quality Demonstrations grant (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, CMS) from 2010-2015, and for the Pediatric Patient Summary-Medical Home Portal project, funded by CMS through the Utah Medicaid Program, from 2017-2021. He retired from the faculty in 2021 and continues to work with the Portal as a volunteer.
